David Altenau, a co-founder of The Outfit, is the senior visual effects supervisor. Altenau has been in the visual effects industry for nearly 20 years and his work has garnished both Emmy and VES nominations. He has successfully combined his highly technical and artistic background to become one of the most respected visual effects supervisors in the industry today. Altenau, a native of Ohio, began his career doing computer graphics in San Francisco in 1989. In 1996 he migrated to Los Angeles to become a senior CGI artist for Warner Digital Studios. After Warner Digital he continued his career as an effects supervisor with both Pacific Title and Cinesite Hollywood, receiving an Emmy nomination for his work on "From the Earth to the Moon" and working on such Hollywood blockbusters as "X-Men", "Thirteen Days" and "Sixth Day".
